A High Power Density (HPD) 80kW EV system is available for order from Swindon Powertrain with deliveries starting in August.
The unit has been designed for electric vehicle conversions and comes with an 80kW motor, transmission and differential with cooling, inverters and a limited-slip diff. Weighing in at 50kg including lubricants and features a brushless, permanent magnet motor, transmission, open differential and one meter of cabling, Swindon’s design comes with multiple installation points and the inverter and cooling packs can be sited separately.
Two inverter options are available depending on battery voltage, and two gear ratio options are on offer depending on tire size and top speed requirements.
