Nissan has developed an all-electric crossover concept, the IMx. The EV – which offers fully autonomous operation and a driving range of more than 600km – was unveiled this week at the Tokyo Motor Show.

At the core of the IMx’s technological features is the envisioned ProPILOT, which enables fully autonomous operation. When selected, the system stows the steering wheel inside the dashboard and reclines all the seats. But when manual drive is selected, the vehicle returns the steering wheel and seats to their original position, and transfers control back to the driver.
The IMx zero-emission concept vehicle adopts Nissan’s new EV platform, designed for maximum efficiency. Powered by a pair of high-output electric motors at the front and rear, the vehicle will produce 320kW of power and 700Nm of torque. As well as featuring all-wheel-drive capability.
