Fersa Automotive, a supplier of bearings for electric cars, vans and light commercial vehicles and part of the Fersa Group; and SEG Automotive, a global supplier of electric machines, specializing in starter motors and generators; are expanding their ‘Redrive’ product line-up with the launch of an all-new remanufactured high-voltage drive unit for the Renault Zoe, one of Europe’s most widely sold battery electric vehicles (BEVs). The new solution follows the successful introduction of the ‘Redrive’ Tesla Model S unit, launched last year to strong demand across the European aftermarket.

The drive unit is being remanufactured at SEG’s original parts facility in Treto, Spain, incorporating Fersa’s high-performance bearing technology to ensure durability, thermal stability and optimized friction performance.

“We’re not just remanufacturing electric drive units – we are extending the life of electric vehicles and expanding the sustainability of mobility,” said Hugo Santos Gómez, chief business development officer at Fersa Group. “This partnership with SEG Automotive combines our leading-edge bearing expertise with their OE production capabilities to deliver performance and affordability to the aftermarket sphere.”

The new ‘Redrive’ Renault Zoe offers up to 30% savings compared to new replacement parts while delivering high-quality systems integration. It will be commercially available by the end of Q2 2025.
