Electric powertrain solutions provider Equipmake has unveiled the latest version of its heavy duty HTM-3500 electric motor. Designed for buses, coaches, trucks and off-highway vehicles, the updated motor develops the same peak output as previous versions – 3500Nm and 400kW. However, continuous power has been upped from 100kW to 200kW at 2,500rpm. This, says the company, will provide an advantage in real-world performance for heavy vehicles during their regular use cases.
The HTM-3500 motor features in Equipmake’s complete e-powertrain solution, the Zero Emissions Drivetrain (ZED). The company produces a wide range of electric motors as well as ASIL-D-certified inverters, alongside complete electric drivetrains. With increased demand and an increasingly global customer base, the brand has partnered with Perkins, Sona Comstar, H55, Vertical Aerospace and Gilmour Space among others, for its products and solutions.
The HTM-3500 will be revealed at the upcoming Cenex Expo at UTAC Millbrook, taking place 4-5, September.
