After releasing first pictures in March this year, Vauxhall has now confirmed powertrain specs for the first Corsa GSi to be released in 25 years
Built on a Corsa VXR chassis, the new GSi will be powered by a 1.4-liter turbo engine which promises 150ps and 220Nm of torque. This means the hatchback will accelerate from 0-100km/h in 8.9 seconds and reach a maximum speed of 205km/h.
And with 220Nm of torque available between 3,000rpm to 4,500rpm, allied to a short-ratio six-speed gearbox, the GSi promises to accelerate from 80-110km/h in fifth gear in just 9.9 seconds.
In addition to delivering improved performance, the Corsa GSi is also part of Vauxhall’s latest Euro 6d-TEMP roll-out with fuel economy 6 l/100km combined and CO₂ emissions of 139g/km.
Thanks to a chassis that originally formed the base of the VXR, the GSi maintains the poise that was achieved in the 210ps set-up. And equipped with optional lightweight alloy wheels and 215/40 x 18 tires, Vauxhall has set-up its latest Corsa for optimal performance.
