Citroën UK has added as new drivetrain option its C5 Aircross SUV range, combining the PureTech 130 Stop & Start (S&S) three-cylinder gasoline engine with its 8-speed EAT8 automatic transmission.
The introduction of the PureTech 130 S&S EAT8 8-speed automatic option replaces the SUV’s current PureTech 180 S&S EAT8 automatic variant. Production starts in February 2020 and first deliveries are expected in March 2020.
In addition to the new powertrain introduction, and as part of a re-homologation process, Citroén has also reduced CO2 production for selected BlueHDi diesel engines in the New C5 Aircross SUV range.
All 1.5L BlueHDi 130 S&S manual versions see a 3g/km decrease, from 108g/km to 105g/km, while the 1.5L BlueHDi 130 S&S EAT8 automatic versions see a reduction of 5g/km, from 105g/km to 100g/km.
