Ford Performance, in collaboration with Roush has developed an all-new supercharger for its 5.0-liter V8 engine. The supercharger kit, which is designed for inclusion in the 2018 Mustang and F-150, will work with the unit’s new port and direct injection system.

“Ford and Roush have teamed up on performance for years on and off the track,” said Doug White, parts manager at Ford Performance. “This new supercharger is another great example of our innovation in performance, greatly improving horsepower and torque so people can enjoy two of our most iconic vehicles even more.”

Rated at 710ps, the state-of-the-art component will offer the Mustang 610 lb-ft of torque at 12psi of boost on 93 octane fuel for either manual or automatic transmission. While the F-150 will benefit from 650ps and 600 lb-ft.

“Our teams collaborated to create the most highly engineered, tested and performing supercharger kit on the market,” added Jack Roush, chairman, board of directors, Roush Performance.

“The combination of the 2018 5.0-liter engine and our all-new, fully integrated 2650 supercharger system yields simply incredible, no-compromise performance.”
