Mecaplast-Key Plastics has announced it is to add ‘another milestone’ to its global expansion as it sets the scene to build a plant in Kenitra, in the north-West region of Morocco.
Participants of the ground breaking ceremony include abdelouafi laftit, minister of industry & commerce, Moulay Hafid elamy, and Jean-françois girauld, ambassador of France in Morocco, Mecaplast-Key Plastics CEO, Pierre boulet, his senior management team, as well as government officials from both countries. The ceremony will mark the start of the project, with an estimated average annual revenue of €15m (US$13.3m), and an opening ceremony planned early 2018. The new plant represents not only the group’s dedication to serving its customers in the region, but also confirms its ambition to invest in the country.
Construction is set to begin in the next weeks, in an allocated 67,500m2 lot and will give employment to an estimated workforce of 270 people. this is the company’s first plant in the Kingdom of Morocco, to total 40 around the globe.

The investments made in Kenitra factory result from the company’s focused strategic growth plan and dedicated partnership supporting their customer’s needs.
