On display at the 2017 Engine Expo is MFT Motoren und Fahrzeugtechnik GmbH’s comprehensive range of ready-to-install shafts and battery stabilizing elements.

MFT is a tier one supplier and mechanical processer, making complex shafts for vehicle drivetrains. The company prides itself on its high precision in areas of less than a micron, whether it be camshafts, balance shafts, ball rods or prismatic components such as housing parts. MFT has a team of specialists from all areas of the supply chain to take care of each project.

MFT is keen to highlight its in-house abilities. Each project begins with inital prototypes, which are then transferred all the way through to serial production. This in-house prototype construction allows MFT to produce small series’ efficiently and to identify optimization potentials for later serial production. More than 30 different types of camshaft can be machined using the latest CNC technology.

In addition to the complete production of cast iron camshafts, forged raw parts or rod material, including required heat treatment, built camshaft grinding and finishing, and building complex assemblies are also part of the range of services.

MFT also manufactures battery housings and stabilizing elements for car batteries. MFT can take over complete in-house production chains by transferring entire production processes from automotive manufacturers, to support new electric mobility and autonomous driving concepts.
