Cummins has announced that Jonathan Wood will be the company’s vice president of component engineering. As an officer, Wood will continue to lead all aspects of engineering for components along with his role as engineering functional leader for the Cummins Europe Area Business Organization.
“Jonathan has shown a commitment to technical excellence throughout his career. His technical oversight of our product development programs globally for different emission levels is critical to our success,” said Tracy Embree, president of Cummins components segment.
“Thinking strategically and creating a clear and compelling vision for the future are two strengths that he possesses, which will continue to serve Cummins and our customers well.”
Wood previously served as executive director of research and engineering for Cummins Emission Solutions. He has also spent time as executive director of research and engineering for Cummins Turbo Technologies (CTT), and director of Asia engineering for CTT. During his career he has led product development programs in high horsepower, heavy-duty and the mid-range turbocharger product lines.
