Swiss firm Ionbond has won the Bosch global supplier award 2015 in the Direct Purchasing – Mechanical Parts category. Among winners from 11 countries, Ionbond won its category for Outstanding Performance, Quality and Innovation during its collaboration with Bosch on DLC coatings for components used in fuel injection systems.
“The high quality standards set by the automotive industry and the demands concerning the process and engineering know-how are both a challenge and an incentive to further improve our performance. This acknowledgement by Bosch spurs the motivation and dedication our team puts into our products and services,” said André Heike, segment head automotive at Ionbond, who received the award on behalf of the company at a special event in Stuttgart in July.
This is the 14th year of the awards, where Bosch highlights companies that have contributed to its business. “The Bosch Global Supplier Award honors our top suppliers, who play such a key role in Bosch’s success,” said Bosch chairman Dr Volkmar Denner. “Our suppliers are important partners in helping us shape the connected world. We want to work with them to develop beneficial solutions for our customers.”
