Mitsubishi Motors North America has unveiled the efficiency figure for its gasoline-powered Mirage hatchback. The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has rated the mirage at 36mpg for city driving and 43mpg on the highway.
According to the EPA report, the three-cylinder Mitsubishi engine will cost an owner US$900 annually to run (based on 45% highway, 55% city driving, 15,000 annual miles and current fuel prices).
The Mirage G4 sedan is similarly efficient, with a highway fuel economy of 41mpg. The sedan is equipped with the same powertrain as the hatchback version – a 1.2-liter three-cylinder.
