Streparava to reveal its radical new multipiece camshafts production methods at this year’s Engine Expo. The technology is claimed to offer far more flexibility and cost-effectiveness for medium- and low-volume applications. By using an additive manufacturing profile on the shaft and fixing the cams by interference, the company says the process is less sensitive to the dimensional variations of the shaft than other assembly processes. Thanks to Streparava’s ‘design of experiments’ method, the new process has demonstrated excellent results in testing.
