New sealing solutions from Tridon

Tridon Clamp Products will demonstrate its solutions for sealing air and coolant connections at Engine Expo. The technology is claimed to counteract thermal expansion and contraction caused by underhood temperature variations. Tridon’s self-adjusting SmartSeal clamp solves this problem by forming a unique 360° seal around joints to prevent leakage, even when subjected to extreme temperatures and vibration. The new solution comprises two main parts: the non-perforated clamp assembly and the SmartLiner – a spring liner made of high-quality stainless steel that is integrated inside the clamp. The SmartSeal, as its name suggests, is designed to be smart; the thin gauge steel expands and contracts around the hose with temperature changes, while the clamp rides on top of the liner, distributing pressure more evenly around the hose.
