Nipass has demonstrated its range of innovative insulation solutions at the Engine Expo + The Powertrain Technology Show. And the Czech company, which is able to provide solutions in small to large manufacturing scale, has said that as emissions requirements continue to grow, so will the need for exhaust insulation.
“There is more load being put on engines as regulations get tighter, so the insulation capabilities that we have are becoming increasingly popular,” said Jiri Bartak, Nipass. “Since Euro 6 came into effect we have had more and more customers, and we expect that to continue.”
With that in mind, the company can offer exhaust insulation systems that are able to withstand 1,000°C temperatures. Through intelligent insulation that can be made from stainless steel and aluminum, and soft fabric with waterproof layers, Nipass prevents the heat from damaging nearby components or causing heat issues inside the cabin.
