Pi Innovo used Engine Expo North America to demonstrate its new M670 OpenECU hardware module in conjunction with a throttle and a BLDC controller.
This 154-pin high feature controller was designed with engine control in mind, but can support a broad range of high I/O applications. It supports gasoline, PFI, GDI and diesel solenoid, and alternative fuel applications such as CNG or LPG. The M670 also offers a high capacity boost power supply to support high-pressure injection systems.
“The system is particularly suited for engine control and it’s capable of controlling up to eight cylinders. It’s got a 120W boost power supply, so you don’t need a separate injector drive box. That means it’s suitable for doing advanced engine control development,” explained Adrian Carnie, VP new business development.
